That's because in Belgium, everyone has to learn English and French on school, we can't choose that, and the most of us also have to learn German as from the fourth class (I don't know how that works with you, eehm.. in the fourth, we (normal) are 15yrs. [reaching the age of 16yrs.])
And sometimes, we also can have Latin and/or Greece, but that differs by study direction..
PS; Sorry if you wouldn't understand everything, but it's really hard to explain something that's not the same for everyone xD.

i speak finnnish as my native language and english, german, italian, swedish and spanish. i like to learn new languages, but it's realy hard if you don't use it every day. i would still like to learn french, latin and irish...

There are plenty of different ways to learn a new language. Books, CD's, signing up for classes at your school/university. You could even try making friends that speak a language that you want to learn and try learning a little bit that way. It is fun speaking a different language so I wish you luck if you try.

I was going to sign up for German for my stupid college credits, but they only offer Spanish, Spanish, and Spanish now.
I spent years learning German in high school and felt it was time to move on to more advanced German but noooo.
