music, films, books, TV

i think it would be good to have a section for both genders to discuss things like books, music, films, tv, internet sites (specific sites rather than women on the internet)

itd be good for general discussion, reviews, seeing who else watches/reads/etc. itd also clear up some clutter in the VIP areas seeing as they have a lot of fast moving posts and if you dont catch the right people it goes bye-bye.

i asked because i was wondering what people thought of a book i read if anyone else had, and felt like discussing an anime with people and i didnt think it was likely id get a quick reply to the former, and didnt know which VIP or whatever to put the latter in for best responce.

also sorry if i messed up the polling. its my 1st ^^;

This is a great idea!  I'm a film fan and I'd love to see something like this on Miss Bimbo.  smile

I would defiantly use it. I think this is a section that is defiantly missing from these forums.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened."

People actually said no?  Why?!  An entertainment section would be great!

just look at my past signatures - I'm a film fan, all my quotes are from some of my favorite movies!  lol

I wonder who said they wouldn't want it?  They could've at least given some sort of reason.  Maybe some one else made the same mistake? lol  hmm

true that.  I'd like to see this + a thread for creative works (short stories, art work, etc) added.

Re: music, films, books, TV

yeah i think theyd be pretty simple. theres a lot of times when i think "i wonder if anyones read this book?" but then i think that if the interested people arent on, my only hope of it staying there 10 mins is if a load of people spam it to say they havent. with so many stickies and cliques/clubs its hard to use the lounges properly

Re: music, films, books, TV

what if you could do some sort of poll?

Like "have you read this book?
(yes)

(no)

(I'm reading it now)

That way you could cut down on spamming and those who've actually read the book could just give their opinions.

Re: music, films, books, TV

Yeah, they'd have to leave the posts up longer than the other ones on this site.  But a separate thread would likely attract more people who've possibly read the book or seen the movie than any of the other threads.  That's why your idea is so cool.

Re: music, films, books, TV

it would be fine flicking through the old pages to find things if you knew yo werent going through a load of other stuff too as well.

also itd be nice to have serious discussions about not so serious things. serious things are bound to turn to chat and jokes in the VIP lounges and the more serious ones are very serious and often about helping each other. its be nice to just express opinions seriously and fun about enjoyable things without being too silly or too precious.

Do you mean applying that to books and movies or just generally?

Re: music, films, books, TV

umm well both. im referring to books and movies et al, but it would be good if there were somewhere for general discussion that could be more serious that wasnt just down to womens things. then again i think it could be very hard for the community to del with very adverse topics and some people would have views that arent really tolerated in some countries and fine in others. the constant questions pitting one side against the other can be bad if it affects how people do in the game, so therefore just on books and stuff because it allows for intelligent discussion without getting too heated.

I would use it to talk about anime too, if it was there.
