Online...

I feel hurt and victimised online from time to time.

I think it's because I can't show my voice that this happens.
People read and interpret without giving a thought to what the writer might actually feel.

What I really hate is when people take innocent posts to heart. Maybe I'll comment on something current, and then someone will go out of their way to make it seem as though it's aimed at them and start retaliating just because they want to.

It seems that some people just hate me.
I am such a topic killer. It can take days now for people to reply to topics I start or reply to.

Re: Online...

Awww! I'm so sorry you feel like that online. It's strange really because online is a place where people don't know you and you should be able to be super brave online.

I used to think I was a topic killer, it got annoying but then I realised if you keep writing in people's threads and just keep writing online, you will find your voice and find your not a topic killer. smile

Re: Online...

I am on the forum's more often than not, I just post in topics that interest me.
I try to start debates (my favourite at the moment concern women in society) and I take time contemplating what I am writing.
And I do post positive posts... Or is it not positive to compliment people..?

Re: Online...

I have no recollection of ever posting a 'no one ever talks to me' post... You must give me a link to this so that I can report that someone has hacked into my account and set about getting the IP address it came from as such things are always recorded by forums.
I said nothing like that in my post about the groups suddenly appearing!
People do talk to me. I've never denied that.
I just made posts about how mean and excluding things such as 'rules' are on posts in a public forum.
I am so touched that you have looked through everything I've ever posted so that you know that I never post in any other topics just because the meanieheadz have a topic going for themselves only.

I am such a topic killer. It can take days now for people to reply to topics I start or reply to.

I joined Miss Bimbo to get away from cliques and groups of 'special' people.
But now there seems to be so many that I can barely reply to a single topic in the lounge!
For me, Miss Bimbo has been ruined. I don't know ANYONE on here, although I do try and I do make an effort. With all these groups appearing, how can I make any friends? Not allowed to talk in/to those groups according to the first post in their topics.
I think this is the end of the forums for me unless I'm complaining about a glitch or suggesting an idea.

Re: Online...

That post is a post against the excluding of people from topics on public forums.
I still don't see any 'no one talks to me' in there... Just that no one's my friend or talks to me regularly. People do talk to me, respond to some of my posts on occassion.
Don't see me as some kind of loner here, because despite what I used to be like with my ED, I have loads of friends. You try halving your dress size through disasterous eating habits and being amazingly confident. Hard isn't it?
I was brought up to be polite, to always say please/thank you/your welcome/excuse me/pardon me. Never ever butt in to private conversations, always to turn away and go out of hearing distance.

Re: Online...

Most ignoring others in online conversations stems from everyone wanting to get their two p in and nobody bothering to read what others post, I suspect...

Corazie I like reading your posts. Even though I might not always think the same.. You usually have something real and intelligent to say about different things.
