I Think It's Gross, Sorry But Thats Just My Opinion I Have A Friend Who Is Currently Doing It And She Knows How Much I Hate It And She Puts A Straw Though It And Every Thing It Makes Me Feel Sick, Sorry Probably Not What You Want To Hear. But Imaging When You're 70 And It Sags.

Plus It's Irriversable.

I think it looks hot on a guy. I could never do it... I'm completely paranoid about the fact that "ears never stop growing" due to the abuse the cartilage takes on a daily basis. Sometimes I can't sleep at night because I worry my ear is folded on the pillow. I'm neurotic, I know.

Only if you go past 8mm, and some people who go further the holes go back to normal. Also you have surgery to remove the exess flesh and have normal ears. I had mine strechted but I got bored with them and let them close up.

I personally wouldn't do it, and they usually smell terrible, but they do look good for a few tears:D

I would never do it myself. But I am a tattoo hog. So who's to says who's right or wrong. If you feel comfortable do it, although some jobs in your future may not want you to have it.

there was a guy in my art class who took his plug out one lesson and he could fit around 7 pencils through his ear, it nearly made me throw up. |: It's 'ok' on guys that only have a small plug in, but i just find it revolting on girls.
sorry, my personal opinion. nothing agaisnt you lovey

Lol, tattoo hog.
Everybody's different eh, and I'm not getting it so it's like absolutely massive...
I am aware if I go past a certain size it not going back to a normal size, but I don't really care that when I'm 70 it's gonna sag.
Life's too short for regrets

I think it's gross. When you get older, you're going to have the most disgusting saggy ears imaginable. D:

I'm stretching mine.
And when I'm 70, I think that saggy ears will be the least of my troubles.
Shoot. When I'm 70, I'll have had time to get them so huge I can toss my boobs through them. Because those are gonna sag too, but I don't hear anybody saying I shouldn't have them.
Also: Anything smells if you don't take care of it. You shouldn't sleep. It makes your mouth icky.
Point proven, yet?

I'm also not a major fan...but then again I don't have tattoos or any piercings other than my ears. So I'm probably a bit of a prude when it comes to my body - I am also someone who thinks about the future and I avoid things I know I'll regret in 5 yrs or so. I also have stuff like the job to worry about...so if I can't easily hide it - it won't fly.
But whatever makes you happy - just try to factor in the future in your decision.

Yay for you, I love mine and think they look cute on girls and boys alike. Though family members still give me earrings as gifts even though I've worn plugs for years. It makes me sad.

I have my ears stretched to 00g, and I'd like to go a bit bigger, but I'm not sure yet. I got my earlobes pierced again, but up further. I'm gonna stretch those to a 4g-2g, I think.
My advice, if you'd like it, would be to use the taping method. I went up to 2g using tapers, and it was heck on my ears. Taping was so much easier and painless!

I do think they can look really horrible...
I think aslong as its like a solid plug (not one you can look through, like just a ring in your ear) then i think their fine.
how big are you planning on going?

I think it's hilarious.
If you want to, go for it.
The surgery, if you will, to correct it is minimally invasive and pretty darn cheap.

I have stretched lobes.
It's not irreversible, but they do say 10mm is the point of no return.
My piercer (very trustworthy, gives good advice, has stretched lobes himself) said that lobes heal 10mm back, so for example, if you stretched them to 12mm you'd always have a 2mm hole still, but don't let that put you off.
My stretch is the second hole up on my left ear, it's at 8mm and I've had it for about a year or so.
I did stretch my right ear first but I did get complications, but that was my fault because I took the silicone 8mm tunnel that my piercer stretched it with (from 6mm) out before it was healed properly, so I was in some pain and I had to bathe it a lot, but it's healed now, and I keep a BCR in it.
What size were you planning on going?
How I stretched it was from a pierced stud, then eyebrow bar (1.2mm), then a tounge bar (1.6mm), then I went onto tapers... from 1.6 to 3.2 did hurt a bit, but what doesn't help is that I didn't use Vaseline like my piercer told me to... so... I suggest taking it slowly, using Vaseline or any other sort of lubrication to insert tapers and not jumping up from mm's too fast.
A guy I know went from 3mm to 8mm, and his ear split, so take it a millimetre at a time or so.
If you need to know anything else, look on sites like bmezine.com
Hope it helps.

I have a friend who jumped up too soon after getting his ears pierced, and because of this the holes wouldn't heal fully. I'm pretty sure he ended up seeing both his piercer and a doctor, by whom he was cautioned that if it didn't close on its own he was running the risk of serious infection and gangrene. Note: if you get gangrene in your ear, they cut your ear off. Like, the whole thing, because they can't take the risk of it spreading to your brain. I laughed when he told me this.

I think it's disgusting. Deforming yourself to conform to the non-conformists? That's how I see it... I think it's quite pathetic really, and when my wee sister started stretching hers, I took it out in her sleep. I think it looks common, cheap and desperate. And disgusting.

That's a bit harsh really...
I don't care if my ears sag when I'm 70. I'll go to some place with all the other saggy ear people and we can all have an old people's rave
Umm I dunno how far I'm gonna stretch em yet, but my mate went up to 3mm first time so I'm probs gonna go for a 2mm or a 3mm... I haven't got the stuff yet, but I'm gettin it next time I go into town.
