Hey, any Bulgarians here?

Offline

DOBRA DEN, I'm half Bulgarian because of my father, although I was born in Australia & consider myself an Aussie. It's the country I grew up in. I don't know any other Bulgarian words, LOL.

I used to learn Bulgarian, but I forgot a little, I'm afraid.
I have problem with this Roman transcription, I'm used to write Bulgarian with Cyrilics.
I can see you have some way to "cheat" Cyrilcs with Roman letters - could you tell me the rules?

This is the Bulgarian version of the "chat talk".
Actually there are no rules how you are going to write because the different people write certain letters different. Here is an example: Шеф --- 6ef --- Shef.
It's hard if you don't understand Bulgarian.

Why 6? I get it with q and 4, they do look a little bit similar.
I use computer belonging to someone else, so I can't set Cyrillics... At university we used scientific Roman transcription, but it also need special signs...

Some people to write fast just type some letters - 6 could easy be read as "sh" and "ш" in Bulgarian. I think it's similar as the chat talk in other countries. 6 is "ше т" in Bulgarian and I think that's the reason we use it.
To save time to change our language we just write that way.
As to the "q" it's the similar situation.
I told you that there are no strict rules.
