ok...so I am Andie, and I havent seen anyone from Michigan on here...this is a very global site I see, so I will add me...Andie...of Michingan. I am about a half hour from the Mackinaw Bridge which I guess is a big tourist site for us.  Im not very fond of the weather for us, it can change as you are looking at it, I am shocked that it has not snowed in the mid July..haha. And I have no idea how to post a pic hmm

A positive thing would be the peacefulness and the scenery
a negative would naturally be the long winters and excrutiatingly hot summers!

i don't exactly know how to post a picture.

but im sure you can imagine what it looks like.
its pretty normal.

positive: its very rare to get disastrous weather.
negative: its expensive to live in. and there are a lot of snobs with big homes down here.[ but they're avoidable!]

Re: Introduce your home

I'm from Croatia, it's a beautiful small country on the Adria next to Italy, Serbia, Bosnia...

Here are some pics from our sea:

http://turist.hr/images/uploads/hrvatska13.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/bs/thumb/3/30/Obala.jpg/300px-Obala.jpg http://insatiable.blog.hr/slike/1620351795.jpg

I com from Orahovica. It's a small town in the inland (Slavonija). It has a lake, nature, hills and Ružica grad (an old demolished castle from 1228. there are many legends of a princess or  something similar-Ružica). The worst thing is that the inland is more poor than the capital of Croatia or the waterside and the people aren't  satisfied about that (politics sad )

here are some pics:

http://www.skole.hr/upload/new/images/newsimg/1476/Image/orahovica_stari%20grad.jpg http://www.destinacije.com/Slike/Hrvatska/JezeraiRibnjaci/Orahovacko_Jezero.JPG

I also want introduce you in Osijek, the city i'm studying in. It's the biggest city in Slavonija, but not really big. It's near the river Drava. Osijek was destroyed in the war 1991, and there are still many scars on it. In Osijek aren't so many trees and nature like in Orahovica, it's more around the city. Osijek could be a really pretty city if they would do something with it, i hope it will be happen soon. The good things in Osijek is the climate (snow in winter, hot summer, beautiful spring) and many very old buildings, like the cathedral in the town center and Tvrđa (a baroque part, my favourite part of the city) Here are some pictures:

Industrial city in south central Poland, 96 km/60 mi south of Warsaw; population (2001 est) 232,000. Industries include flour-milling, brewing, tobacco, leather, bicycles, machinery, and ironworks.

Radom is one of the oldest Polish settlements. It was first chartered in 1364, but there had long been a town on this site. It became part of Austria in 1795, and of Russia in 1825, reverting to Poland in 1919.

Re: Introduce your home

Hi
I'm from Ireland
I live in Dublin and Kildare but I spend most of my summer in Wicklow

This is a pic of the halfpenny briidge over the river liffey(Dublin)
http://www.irishjewel.com/images/ireland-pics/6-183.jpg

This is powerscourt waterfall9(wicklow)
http://www.irishjewel.com/images/ireland-pics/5-049.jpg

This is killiney hill and wicklow coast
http://www.irishjewel.com/images/ireland-pics/5-041.jpg

And This is just a random pic of the liffey (Clane Co. Kildare)
http://www.clane.net/Images/liffey_view/Clane_Liffey_walk_8_med.jpg

Disadvantage: Rain, rain and more rain
Advantages: Way to many to pick just one.  I love Ireland theres nowhere like it and I can put up with the crappy weather cause it's just brilliant.
