The Puppet
The girl awoke. She looked at the sky. It gave her a thought.
Todays the day that she'll die. Think of her as a puppet.
Strings on hand to hand. She ran from the forest.
Dance puppet, dance.
Her strings were fading, without them, shed fall apart.
She was going to die, she knew in her heart.
But what was a puppet going to do?
Cry to the shadows?
Pray to the moon?
Her strings nearly gone, she stood for a moment.
Looked at the sky. She laughed about it.
So she spread out her arms, wide and long,
And before you knew it, the puppet was gone.

Wow, I wish something I wrote would get published.
I like writing poetry sometimes, but mostly stories.
Sometimes I'll get really good ideas and then I won't end up writing the actual story because I is lazy butt.

OMG, it's so moving I can't even imagine losing my little one. It's to sad to even think about but you're poem is very beautiful.

I had a poem published when I was 7. It was absolutely rubbish, about Pylons. It was one of those books where they publish poems from all different Primary schools. I dob't know why they published it. Yuk!

I had a story about carrots published when I was in primary school. My mum just loves to show it off (she knows it word for word) and I cringe everytime.

Wow that's really nice! Love it! How did you publish it? Do you know someone who does that or?

Mine was about a prince called a most embarrasing name...I feel quite sorry for him.

I entered it in to poetry.com and they published it into a book
I also won an editors choice award for it

Too bad because poetry.com is a scam (they will publish anyone, but don't take offense because I'm not saying you're just anyone or your poem is bad).
It's a nice poem, though.
I hope you write even better stuff now so you can make sure it's NOT on poetry.com.
And then maybe you can actually get it published by a real publisher (since poetry.com reserves all the rights to anything you write on that site).
